Bloc Party are an Indie Rock band from Essex. They first came together in 2003 and are still creating, releasing as well as preforming today!
The band is made up of four members, Kele Okereke, Russell Lissack, Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong.

They have enjoyed immense success throughout the world with their music, after breaking America as well as Australia and all the other major countries!

The bands released their second album in February 2007 called A weekend in the City, which debuted at number 12 selling 48000 copies.

This summer they will be appearing at a number of UK festivals, including Reading and Leeds Festival as well as Glastonbury and Live Earth.
They also have a number of concerts planned for the later stages of the year, including Glasgow, Manchester and London all in December!

The band have been described as having a variation of spiky guitar rock, and the band claims to take a lot of inspiration from a number of other UK Indie bands as well as world know rock bands!
